Beechwood Install Changing Places Unit

Beechwood shopping centre has become one of a growing number of places in the UK to install a Changing Places unit for use by the disabled, with more space, better equipment and a safer environment. Beechwood opened its new toilets at a cost of around £10,000 and becomes the first Changing Places in the Cheltenham area.  Other locations around the country include leisure centres, parks, town centres and shopping centres. The Changing Places Consortium is a group of organisations working to support the rights of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities to gain and improve access to their community.…

Beechwood Shopping Centre ended 2011 on a high and is looking forward to 2012 with optimism. Grand Final of Cheltenham's Top Talent

Beechwood is counting down the days to the grand final of Cheltenham’s Top Talent competition in the shopping centre on Sunday, December 18. The eight finalists who were chosen from the auditions are now making their final plans to take centre stage in front of the three judges. Judges of Cheltenham's Top Talent competition in Beechwood Shopping Centre on Saturday had a tough task in choosing the eight acts which will go on to the grand final in Beechwood on December 18. Christmas Lights Switch-on

Beechwood centre manager Owen Acland has thanked townspeople for turning out in such huge numbers to support the Christmas lights switch-on. Beechwood was a hive of activity throughout the day and families enjoyed a feast of entertainment. Beechwood Shopping Centre has extended the loan of the shop on the ground floor near the centre circle offering disabilities arts charity Art Shape the opportunity to raise even more funds.
