More shops have opened in Beechwood Shopping Centre, Cheltenham in addition to Cards for Good Causes and Calendar Club which moved in at the beginning of October.
Three other seasonal traders Gifted, Gifts Direct and Gift Fusion will also open on the ground floor, trading until the end of the year.
Beechwood centre manager Owen Acland said: “The new shops are a real boost for Christmas trading and make a great addition to what is already on offer from our permanent stores. There’s a buzz about the centre with the announcement about Debenhams’ re-fit in the New Year and the creation of about 50 more jobs, and with interest being shown in yet another unit the way is set for a positive end to the year.”
Debenhams announced 20 stores, including Cheltenham, will get a makeover next year with others to follow at a later date.
Mr Acland said: “Beechwood itself is also getting something of a make-over. We are re-painting the rear of the centre, where there is scaffolding, but business is continuing as usual, both in the centre and in our car park. This work shouldn’t cause any disruption to shoppers using the car park, the entrance to which is right next to Debenhams’ rear doors in Albion Street.”
