Auditions for those hoping to gain a place in the Christmas grand final begin at Beechwood at 10.30am and everyone is welcome to come along and watch.
Oliver always takes part in his school events, such as house music and house drama but he is still agonising over what to perform in front of the panel.
"He is great with ballads, but is also so comical with things, so I really don't know what he will choose to do for the competition," said mum, Caroline. "He has never been shy or nervous about things, really.
"I get so proud of him, he just loves entertaining people and is so funny."
Oliver is one of 29 people preparing to take part in the town's youth showbiz showcase.
Echo editor Kevan Blackadder, Cheltenham mayor Councillor Barbara Driver and Beechwood centre manager Owen Acland will run the rule over the entries.
Each performer will be given five minutes to prove their talents to the judges and the successful entrants will be invited back to the finals day on December 18.
The competition will help to raise cash for Mrs Driver's chosen charities Cheltenham YMCA, National Star College and the St Vincent's and St George's Association.
